Hi friends, welcome to my channel Revati Ira Astrology. Today, we will discuss a very important and rare technique, understanding Vimshottari Dasa from an Ari perspective.
But what is a 3 dasha? 3 dasha is essentially dividing the entire 120 years of Vimshottari Dasha into 9 parts, corresponding to the 9 planets, each with its own nakshatras that rule for specific periods. For example, Venus rules for 20 years, while the Sun rules for six years. However, these periods are not static; life has its ups and downs. So, how do we understand Dasha?
The Three Dasha principle delves deep into astrological scriptures, particularly Nadi astrology, to understand why certain events happen in our lives, the good times, the bad times, and how the Mahadasha planet influences these phases.
Before I start this presentation, let's briefly touch on Karma theory, the foundation of Hindu astrology. Our karmas accumulate over lifetimes, much like a bank savings account. Sanchita Karma, representing the sum total of our karmas, is indicated by the fifth and ninth houses in our birth chart. It contains both past and future karmas. Prarabdha Karma, representing what we bring into this life, is associated with the sixth house, giving insights into our life's overall phases.
Agami Karma is the karma we create in this life, with some of its benefits reaping immediately and others added to the Sanchita Karma. The fourth house indicates Agami Karma, as it signifies the Nadeer, our core self when no one is watching.
Now, understanding the Three Dasha principle is essential to unravel why we experience certain events and analyze our life from a spiritual and Nadi perspective.
So, let's move on to the next slide.
What is the Three Dasha principle? It divides the ongoing Mahadasha into three parts, each with its own activated houses. First, it identifies which houses from the birth lagna will be activated during each period. Second, it examines whether events and activities are linked to past, present, or future karma.
Now, let's apply this principle to a chart. Consider a Jatak with Makar Lagna going through Venus Mahadasha from 29th November 2006 to 29th November 2026.
Venus is the Yogakarka planet, situated in the 12th house and Vargottam, indicating potential. To understand how this 20-year Mahadasha unfolds, we follow specific steps.
First, we divide the 20-year Mahadasha into three equal parts, approximately 6.5 years each. Second, we examine which signs Venus's nakshatras rule. Venus owns Bharini, Purvaphalguni, and Purvashada nakshatras, corresponding to Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius signs, respectively.
Now, let's relate these signs to the houses in the chart. Aries falls in the 4th house, Leo in the 8th, and Sagittarius in the 12th. These are the activated houses for the entire 20-year period.
Now, here's the key rule: the activation sequence follows movable, dual, and fixed signs. So, the 4th house (movable) is active from the start (2006) until 2013. The 12th house (dual) becomes active until 2020, and the 8th house (fixed) is active until the end (2026).
During the first 6.5 years, the 4th house is active, indicating present karma. This period sees the Jatak begin a successful career, with Mars (lord of the 4th) well-placed.
In the second phase (2013-2020), the 12th house activates, signifying future karma. The Jatak loses his parents but also experiences material achievements and gets married. Jupiter and Venus play significant roles in this phase.
Finally, the third phase (2020-2026) activates the 8th house, representing past karma. The dispositor, Sun, is associated with Ketu, leading the Jatak toward spirituality and occult sciences. This phase lays the foundation for the Sun Mahadasha to follow.
In conclusion, the Three Dasha principle allows us to understand how a person's life unfolds, why they change, and how their soul's journey progresses. It's a tool to gain profound insights into one's destiny.
